3teensmom…who am I?

Mom, Dad and the 3 teens

I love words. I like to inspire and motivate and to be so. I have three truly extraordinary young people I’ve been blessed to nurture and learn from.I have a zillion ideas desperate to break out. Slowly returning to my writing roots. Working on it, but daily responsibilities stifle productivity.Started this blog on January 1, 2012. Returned to it five months later and have been diligent up until this moment (it’s July).

I am grateful for the many new bloggers I’ve come to know. The amount of creativity and hope on WordPress alone astounds me. I appreciate your support!

PHOTO: I took this photo in 2011 and commented on it in this blog post. I’m glad to hear it strikes a chord with many of you.

  1. Thanks for following my blog! As a fellow lover of words, it’s great to read how artfully you string words together to make interesting posts. I especially loved your post about “Parenting from Scratch”— what a great metaphor!

  2. Hi,

Thanks for visiting and now following the Two Bruces. We salute you for the work you do as a parent of teens. Well, actually I salute you as the other Bruce is currently channeling his inner adolescent. It is not pretty. Help!

  3. This photo brings back childhood memories of sitting in front of the Christmas tree without my glasses as Christmas music played softly on the stereo. With each blink, the flashes of light changed much like that of a kaleidoscope. Thanks for the memories and for stopping by My Hmmm Collection and deciding to tag along.

  4. Thanks much for liking my blog – I continue to be astounded that others find it and spend the time to read it. I love your words about your children – I too have children (adults now) who added a richness and depth to our lives beyond anything we could have imagined –

  5. love the amazing photograph you have as a banner at the top of your blog. you know what it’s like when you know you need to write and there just is not enough time and how frustrating that can be. i wish you the luck to nurture that writer inside of you. looking forward to reading and seeing more of what you have to say. jen

  6. Your header photo is beautiful–a place I’d like to be. Best wishes on your write to freedom. I look forward to reading along. Thanks for following my blog.

  7. Hi,

Thank you very much for visiting my fledgling blog and following. I am having look around your blog too, certainly like the idea of writing self to freedom!

    Kind Regards,

  8. Your writing is amazing! and I cannot believe that you do so well with three kids. Reminds me of someone else I know. Thank you so much for checking out , commenting, and liking my post. I think that we are beginning a long exciting friendship and I am looking forward to watching you grow into a great artist !

  9. Stopping by to let you know, I appreciate yOu and you sound a bit like a few of us bloggers…busy with life and have a trillion projects in the works but grateful to have blogging as a way to keep in touch with our creative side.
~Abundant light and peace to you and your blog. 🙂

  10. I know the feeling! Carve out 15 minutes a day, every day to write. Even on the days the cat throws up in your son’s bed and you ran out of Tide. And then everybody in the house throws up. You know what I mean. 🙂

    Good luck!!!

    • Thank you for joking Teachsafety! Like you I am on a mission!
      Writing is hard work!
I was extremely privileged, to have the first publisher say they too wanted to save our Nation’s children, building a new generation
Of safe adults. Looking forward to hearing about your mission in life! 3 teens! Wow!
